Ice Skating Trip - Tantallon SENIOR Elementary
On Friday, March 8th, our school will all be heading to the St. Margarets Bay Arena to skate. We have divided our classes into two groups and times in the morning to attend the skate to accommodate the space. The school will be covering the full cost of the busses and cost of skating.
The classes have been divided in the following groupings for the skate:
10:00 am to 11:00 am
2 Siscoe
2 Gouthro SMITH ICE
2 Tonner
2/3 Cross
3 Meisner
3/4 Mracic FOUNTAIN ICE
3/4 Marsh
3/4 Huskilson
11:15 am to 12:15 pm
3/4 Nicholl
4 Burchell SMITH ICE
4/5 MacDonald
4/5 O’Neill
5 Smith
5 O’Brien FOUNTAIN ICE
5 Smart
We are asking families who need skates and/or helmet to borrow and families who may be able to loan skates and/or helmets to the school to please reply to this email tantallon@hrce.ca to let me know what size of skate and/or helmet you need/can loan for the skate. We will keep track here at the school and make sure all equipment is returned to you.
We are hoping to have lots of chaperones to come and watch their children skate, maybe take part on the ice with them, and to help us tie some skates. Please make sure your checks are done if you want to come and chaperone…if you need a Criminal Record Check, contact Sarah Morris and she can send you a link to do it online for $30 rather than $50. For students who will not be skating that day, they will be coming on the trip with us and there will be an activity that they can do. All students and adults who skate at the SMC require a helmet to wear.
Busses will be provided for our students to get there and back. There will be a few more details to come but I wanted to get this out as soon as possible to help everyone get organized.
We look forward to taking our students skating and hope that many of you can be there as well to enjoy…and tie a few skates 😊!

Tattletales Fundraiser Ends - Tantallon JUNIOR Elementary
For the month of February, join us for our first Tattletales Coins for Books fundraiser. Throughout the month of February we will be collecting coin donations. At the end of each week the coins will be counted. At the end of February, a grand total will be taken and all proceeds will go towards the purchase of books for our school and classroom libraries that are representative of the interests of our students and reflective of the diversity of students within the classroom and the world beyond our classrooms. Tattletales will generously match what we collect!
